PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

I am writing this in mid-December so I don’t know what I got for Christmas.  I do know that it won’t be coal as my son-in-law is a BIG Christmas shopper.  We always get a “wacky” gift that we must open before even venturing near the gifts.  It is something we MUST wear throughout the opening of presents.  He will never grow up!!!!

But first, what a wonderful turnout we had for our Christmas dinner at Bellini’s.  I do hope we all had a good time.  My meal was wonderful, and I had a delightful time.  Then on to our meeting; the Apex Singers (or Sinners—inside joke if you were at the meeting) were just great.  They entertained us for about a half-hour, and I can see how they won the awards they have received.  They were very good.  Then the cookies!!!!!  Wow, I don’t think we ever had so many.  Along with the food that was donated, WWCC certainly had their supply of food replenished.  Good job everyone.  The spirit of Christmas certainly was spread with all of your generosity.

We will start the New Year off and running.  I am excited about the quilt as we have some volunteers already signed up to help us “sit” at designated stores in the area.

Again, the money we raise will go toward our charities.

Eleanor says, “May you all have a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year”.

As ever,

Eleanor Staats,

President
